Editorial and community standards

Inbox Digest is an independent research publication. These standards govern how we score tools, write comparisons, and moderate practitioner threads.

Independence

We are not owned by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Brew, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or any other email vendor. Vendors may appear in rankings because practitioners use them, not because we accept payment for placement.

Scoring methodology

Tool scores reflect hands-on trials across design, automation, and sending. Rank order always follows numeric score descending. We re-test major releases before updating ranks. See our best AI email tools guide for the full rubric.

Evidence and citations

We link to primary documentation, pricing pages, and industry sources such as Gmail sender guidelines and RFC references for deliverability claims. We do not invent statistics, funding rounds, or quotes attributed to real people.

Community threads

Practitioner posts are attributed to named contributors with stated roles. Comments are moderated for spam and harassment, not for negative vendor feedback. Disagreement is expected and documented.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected inline with an updated date. Material scoring changes include a note in the relevant guide or tool profile.
